Ambiente 2015: the most important sourcing platform outside China

Ambiente, the leading international trade fair for the consumer-goods sector, is the most important sourcing platform for the volume business outside China. In six exhibition halls, almost 1,600 selected companies experienced in the export business offer a wide range of products for the volume business. “This extensive spectrum is unrivalled worldwide and clearly structured by product groups. With the ‘Passage’ sourcing platform, Ambiente provides a market place where suitable contacts can be sought and orders placed directly with the manufacturers”, says Nicolette Naumann, Vice President Ambiente / Tendence. This is confirmed by Jinhai Zhou, CEO of Cangzhou Haida Flatware Co, Ltd., China, for whom Ambiente is an important order fair: “We have been exhibitors in Frankfurt for almost 20 years. At Ambiente, we find the right buyers for our products from all over the world. This has greatly expanded the scope of our business and we are delighted to benefit from such a good event.”
However, not only Chinese exhibitors but also companies from India, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand present their products at Ambiente. Many other countries, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru and Vietnam, are represented by pavilions. The products and services range from industrially-made articles to hand-made goods in large quantities and customising solutions. “For me, Ambiente is the best opportunity to present my company to the world market. At the leading trade fair for consumer goods, I have the chance to meet potential customers from different countries and to sell my products. I have been taking part in this fair for ten years now and I am proud to say that I am a successful exhibitor from Nepal”, says Naresh Shrestha, Chairman of the Board of Bagmati Paper Industry. Another exhibitor who has been making presentations at Ambiente for many years is Sandeep Manaktala, co-proprietor of Cosmique Global from India. He says, “The international consumer-goods fair, Ambiente, is the only international event at which we have been exhibiting our seasonal market placements for the volume business for many years – at an impartial and neutral venue. We are confident that this will not change in the future.”
The spectrum of products and services for the volume business is grouped closely together under the name ‘Passage’ in Halls 10.0, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4 and 12.0. Erected especially for Ambiente 2015, Hall 12.0 is also linked directly to the Portalhaus, the entrance building on the west of the Exhibition Centre. In the ‘Passage Gifts’ section in Hall 10.0, volume buyers will find products suitable for giving as presents, e.g., games, arts & crafts, stationery and fashion accessories, such as bags, scarves, shawls and jewellery. The big pavilions covering this field are located in Hall 12. At ‘Passage Home’ in Hall 10.1 and ‘Passage Home & Garden Select’ in Hall 10.2, visitors will find home accessories, small pieces of furniture, textiles, luminaires, decoration ideas and outdoor and garden accessories. Novelties for the table, kitchen and household are shown by exhibitors in ‘Passage Table & Decoration’ in Hall 10.2, ‘Passage Table & Kitchen Select’ in Hall 10.3 and ‘Passage Dining & Housewares’ in Hall 10.4.
