Internship at the Christkindlmarkt

Press release available only in original language.

Munich’s Christmas market – or Christkindlmarkt – attracts visitors from around the world. Its roots stretch back to the 14th century. Today, 157 stands are located on 20,000 square meters of space around Marienplatz. One of these stands is run by Michael Jaumann, owner of the Kreutz woodcarving studio in the Upper Bavarian town of Gröbenzell. Jaumann specializes in nativity scenes and wooden figures, all made painstakingly by hand. Shortly before Christmas, members of #porsche Consulting’s Munich office visited Jaumann’s stand at the Christkindlmarkt.

Jessica Disch, Federico Magno, Gregor Grandl, and Altan Yamak were not allowed to carve figures themselves. The sharp knives of a master woodcarver are far too dangerous for novices. But the four consultants were allowed to try out the role of salespeople at the market. #porsche Consulting wishes everyone a very happy holiday season in 2016. And if you’re looking for last-minute gifts, Michael Jaumann’s stand – and those of his 156 fellow exhibitors – will be open until two in the afternoon on Christmas Eve.
